REQUIREMENTS
Adams Future Business Leader Scholars must comply with all requirements, guidelines and policies set forth in the Scholarship Handbook. Failure to comply will jeopardize eligibility for the scholarship.
Adams Future Business Leader Scholars are required to:
- retain permanent residency in Baltimore City;
- maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA while enrolled as a full-time student; and
- continue as a full-time business major (e.g., finance, economics, business administration).
Scholars are also required to:
- attend all Foundation functions;
- exhibit high standards of behavior and decorum;
- apply early for all loans, grants, work-study and other scholarships;
- be gainfully employed (including internships) during summer breaks;
- re-certify eligibility twice a year and demonstrate financial need once a year;
- volunteer at least 30 hours per year at a Foundation-approved youth service organization;
- notify the Foundation immediately of any significant lifestyle changes or changes in previously reported information (e.g., academic, residence, marital, or financial status);
- use funds from the Foundation for college-related expenses only (e.g., tuition, room, board, computers, textbooks); and
- submit all requested information to the Foundation accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
Existing Scholarship Recipients
Scholarship recipients who are attending college and seeking recertification for continued scholarship support must complete and return the Foundation's recertification documents. You should download Fall recertification documents here and download Spring documents here.
